The Band Flex is clearly a rip off of a much more expensive exercise system that uses metal rods rather then bungee cords to achieve the resistance you need for training. That said not all of us have $900 to blow on a single piece of fitness equipment, so I was very excited to try out the Band Flex home exercise system.
Let me begin by saying that I have only tried this exercise equipment out for a couple of months so I have not yet experienced the slackening of the bungee cords that other users sometimes complain about, however it is probably worth mentioning.
Apparently after prolonged usage the resistance cords that the Band Flex fitness system uses to give you a good workout can become slack rendering them useless. Since Band Flex sells replacement resistance cords at a reasonable price I do not think this is much of an issue and people need to quit whining.
My Band Flex preformed as well as I expected. It is not built with the same quality standards of machines that cost three times the price, but then again it is no where near as expensive as them.
The Band Flex fitness equipment system is a little wobbly, but no to the point that I feel unsafe or unsteady doing my daily workout, and I have yet to experience any malfunctions. In short I love my Band Flex, it gives me a great daily workout and costs a fraction of the comparable machines that use metal bars for resistance. My one complaint is that the exercise manual is almost worthless, and a DVD instructional guide would have been much more useful.

That’s great to hear. Both the Bowflex and the Bandflex are relatively similar. Good to know that someone else got some benefit from one of these great machines. They might be a little rickety sometimes, but they sure beat going to the gym.

I think its a great cheaper alternative for some folks who can’t afford the heft prices of big brand machines.

I think walking is one of the best ways to keep in shape. I have such a busy lifestyle that I never have time to really exercise. But I do make sure that I walk to and from work everyday in order to keep healthy and fit.
