This is one stocking stuffer for boys that you might regret buying some day, but it will definitely be worth it until then. The New 3 Channel Double Counter Rotation Mini Indoor Helicopter is the greatest toy for boys I’ve ever seen – heck I wish I had one of these when I was a kid!

The Mini Helicopter makes a perfect stocking stuffer for boys, what kid doesn’t like flying toys? It only gives you just under 10 minutes of flying time from its 6 AA batteries (not included) so it won’t drive you too crazy. In that 10 minutes you can go forward, backward, hover, slow down and speed up.

At this low price the Mini Helicopter is definitely one of the most affordable stocking stuffer ideas for boys this year. It doesn’t make much noise, and it probably won’t damage anything it crashes into. It’s designed for indoor flying, but I’d think hard before giving your little boy permission to take off in the living room.

If you’re looking for a great stocking stuffer idea for boys, I would definitely say that this Indoor Helicopter is one thing you shouldn’t leave out.

I think this one would really kick ass for boys. Got one of those and it is really awesome. Can’t stop playing. But don’t for get always check your batteries or charge them after use.

Do you know what I had one Christmas a young boy? I got one of those helicopters that you stick to the ceiling and they fly around and around in a circle.

I played with that for hours until I smashed it into the ceiling and it broke. :(

Pretty cool little toy. What would be a really awesome gift would be one of these and include parts to “upgrade” or modify the helicopter, like a better motor, battery, etc…

This is certainly a great stocking stuffer gift for boys. I remember playing around with this type of toy outside when I was younger, and it was damn fun to fly something around by yourself to say the least.

I can only imagine the kind of fun a boy could have with this type of toy indoors…

Speaking of Christmas stockings, I was unaware that in the 19th century we almost lost the Christmas stocking as a tradition because of the size of the stockings relative to gift giving.

There were big stockings available, but families with modest incomes couldn’t fill them, so Christmas morning sort of underlined their poverty. On the other hand, the smaller ones barely contained sewing needles. Business came to the rescue with the Smith Stocking which was elastic. It would stretch or shrink depending on the size and number of the gifts. Ingenious really.

I would buy my boys this kind of toy rather than buying war toys.

My nephews are crazy about helicopters, planes, etc. Pretty much anything that flies, so thanks for the post.

Recently we read an article that spoke of Smith’s Christmas Stocking.

Evidently in the 19th century, people were switching from stockings to trees for the purpose of presents.

The small New England stockings wouldn’t hold much more than sewing needles, and the large ones made in Chicago were really big. So big in fact that people without lots of extra cash for Christmas couldn’t even half fill them.

Looking at the half filled stockings on Christmas morning was a reminder of tough times, so those were only bought by the rich.

The answer to this dilemma of size was Smith’s Stocking. Smith’s Stocking was made of an expandable elastic.

It would stretch to handle just about any gift, and would fill easily with smaller toys if that’s what the family wanted.

Once again, the Free Market came to the rescue.

So, today, we read on As Seen on You Tube a story about stockings, thanks to a far sighted 19th century businessperson.

You’re right, this is the coolest stocking stuffer. My Dad gave my 15-year old brother one for Christmas, and he loves it.

The problem is that the battery doesn’t last long (it lasts up to about 10 minutes), then he has to recharge it for half an hour.

Boys always love helicopter toys. I bought one for my friend’s son.

My son got one of these for Christmas and it works great for the price. Well, it worked great for a couple of hours. Funny how stepping on something made of plastic tends to render it inoperable.

I run a Website for RC Cars with how to videos… this post reminds me to do a similar Video Site for RC Helicopters, too. Rc Helicopters can go really crazy nowadays with Lipos etc…
    great Post, thanks!

I have bought one of this product for my nephew & he loves it. Most amazing thing about this product is the helicopter can be charge through usb cable connected to computer or adapter. AA batteries are needed too, but for remote control only.

  • 30 Headache Migraine // Jan 21, 2010 at 4:39 pm

I really like this advanced “toy”, even if I’m on my late 30’s.
I really love manipulating the helicopter, it makes me feel like I’m actually flying. pretty cool.
